Medical Expenses
Workers’ Compensation is designed to cover your medical expenses in the event of an accident while you’re at work. Your insurance may not cover all of your expenses and if it happened on company time, it shouldn’t be expected to.
Partial or All Lost Wages
If your injury prevents you from returning to work, you may also be entitled to all or at least part of your lost wages. Your ability to work will determine how much of your lost wages will be covered by your Workers’ Compensation insurance. Your attorney will be able to help you calculate an approximate amount.
Training
If you are no longer able to do the same type of work as before, your Workers’ Compensation may cover the training you need to learn a new skill. You may have to complete an evaluation to determine what type of work you are capable of doing before you are allowed to take any new training.
